The Israelites sinned against the Lord again, and he let the Philistines rule them, for forty years. At that time, there was a man named Manoah from Israel. His wife had never been able to have children. The Lord's angel appeared to her and said.

"You have never been able to have children, but you will soon be pregnant and have a son. Be sure not to drink any beer or wine. From the day of his birth until the day of his death, he will be dedicated to God as a Nazirite."

She told her husband that the Lord's angel came to her. But, he cannot believe it. So, he prayed to the Lord, "Please Lord, let the Lord's angel that you sent come back to us and tell us what we must do with the boy when he is born." God did what he asked and his angel came back to them. Manoash saw the Lord's angel and prayed to God, at the altar. Then, flames were going up from the altar. Manoah and his wife saw the Lord's angle go up toward the heaven in the flames. Then, He realized then that the man had been the Lord's angel.

The woman gave birth to a son, as the God's angel had told, and named him Samson. God asked Manoash and his wife never to cut his hairs. The longer his hairs grew, the more mighty power Samson had, by God's power. While walking along a road, one day, he saw a young lion and killed it, with his bare fist.

Samson fell in love with a Philistine woman. His parents did not agree with it, but he and the woman held a wedding ceremony. Yet, he fought with the Philistines who attended the wedding ceremony, and the ceremony was ruined. Samson got furious. He caught 300 foxes and set fires on their tails to burn up the Philistine wheat fields.

Then, the Philistines came down in Judah and attacked the people, in order to arrest Samson. The men of Judah captured and tied up Samson to hand him over to the Philistines. Then, they were delighted and shouted, "We captured Samson."

Suddenly, the power of the Lord made him strong, and he broke the ropes around his arms and hands, as if they were burnt thread. Then, he found a jawbone of the dead donkey, picked it up and killed a thousand men, with it. Seeing it, the Philistines screamed with terror, and looked for the chance to capture him.

After this, Samson fell in love with another woman named Delilah. Then, the Philistines went to her and asked her to trick Samson into telling what made him strong and how they can tie him up and make him helpless. They promised her, "If you do so as we asked, we'll pay enormous money for it."

So, Delilah said to Samson, every day and night, "Please tell me what makes you so strong."

At this, Samson lied twice to her, about it. Then, she burst into anger, and pleaded with him to tell the truth, shedding tears.

"You don't love me. If you still love me, please tell the truth."

He was overcome by the tears that were shedding from her big and beautiful eyes. Finally, he told the truth to her.

"I see. From the time I was born, I have been dedicated to God as a Nazirite. If my hairs were cut, I would lose my strength and be as weak as anybody else."

While he was falling asleep, she called the Philistines and cut off his long hairs.

Awakened, Samson could not have strength. Then, the Philistine soldiers captured him and put his two eyes out. They took him, chained him with bronze chains, and put him to work grinding at the mill. Samson became a slave of the Philistines, without expectation, once day. The Philistines were extremely delighted by their victory.

The Philistines gathered in the altar and offered a great sacrifice to their god Dagon. Then, they brought Samson out of the prison and treated him with scorn, crying out.

"Wow! God Dagon is with us. Our god has given us victory over our enemy Samson!"

"Ha, Ha. Ha, Fool Samson? Use somersaults. Harness your power. Wow, Ha, Ha, Ha!"

Then, Samson eagerly prayed to the Lord.

"Oh, Lord, Please give me my strength, one more time."

Afterwards, his hairs began to grow little by little. Samson asked a young slave who was leading him by the hand.

"Let me touch the columns that hold up the building, I want to lean on them."

Then, Samson prayed to God, shouting with the columns in his hands. "

"Lord, Be with me, please. Give me my strength so that I can get even with the Philistines. Let me die with the Philistines."

Then, the power of God began to make him strong. At this, Samson pushed against the columns with all his might.

      "Loud, Loud, Bang, Bang..... Oops!!!"

The thunderous noises forced the building to fall down on more than three thousand people who screamed and shirked, across the air. The ground was filled with the dead bodies of people who fell down and died. Bloods were shedding like raindrops. Samson killed more people, at his death, than he had killed during his life. Samson had fought for the Israelites, for twenty years, until he died with the enemies.
