    3. Ashley Downs Orphanage

Every single orphanage on Wilson Street was in a residential area.

However, as the number of orphans grew, there was a shortage of supplies and complaints from the residents. Every morning, Muller prayed for more orphanages for there was a lack of space for the orphans. Then God provided Muller with a large piece of land, an architect, and donations so that Muller was able to build a new orphanage in Ashley Downs, which was located in the suburbs. The first orphanage in Ashley Downs was a place where three hundred kids could enjoy nature and learn new life skills. As more kids came to the orphanage, there soon was a second and then a third orphanage in Ashley Downs.

The first orphanage in Ashley Downs was a place where three hundred kids could enjoy nature and learn new life skills. On One ordinary day, while praying for the orphanage, a nurse came looking for Muller in a hurry.

"Pastor George! It’s time for breakfast but there is no more food left for the children. What should we do?"

Muller replied, "Let's watch how God does it"

Then Muller took three hundred kids to the kitchen and prayed with empty bowls in front of everyone.

"Dear lord, we thank you because we believe that you will send us something to eat, Amen"

Just after they finished praying, there was a knock on the door.

"Pastor George Muller, last night I felt like making bread for the children so I baked some bread. I hope you guys enjoy them."

When children began eating the bread, there was a knock on the door once again.

"My Milk Wagon broke down so I think I need to leave the milks at the orphanage. Here, I'd like to give you ten cans of milk."

So as a result, everyone had more than enough amount of breakfast to eat.

Muller always kept track of all the prayers that had been answered and there were more than fifty-thousand prayers answered.

"Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed." (Proverbs 16:3)

    4. Mission Trips and Fruit of the Spirit

There were total of five orphanages taking care of 2000 children in Ashley Downs and many children of England grew up in to great adults.

When Muller turned 70, Muller went preaching all around the world.

During those seventeen years, Muller spread the Gospel to forty-two countries and to more than three million people. And sixty years after the beginning of the first orphanage, Muller passed away after giving his services at the orphanage.

People thought that once Muller was gone, many things including running the orphanage would become hard.

    However Muller said

"When God makes this servant leave this world forever, everyone will realize that it was me who was depending on God not God depending on me. It is a piece of cake for God to appoint a new servant to take my place. And if that person follows what I learned and practiced, this orphanage will keep on flourishing."

Just like Muller said, the orphanage kept on running even after world war two and until all the orphans were gone.

Till this day, the orphanages exist as nursing homes or as schools.

Other than running orphanages, George Muller also made a supplying agency for the Bible, providing bibles and missionaries to poor people all around the world.

Out of those missionaries, there was missionary named Hudson Taylor,

who will be introduced in the next chapter.

Children, the God of George Muller is also our God.

I hope you guys have a victorious life in God just like George Muller's.

"Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." (Matthew 19:14)
